Welcome To Support HBCU Futures

A Global Movement to Empower, Elevate & Expand the Legacy of HBCUs

Championing HBCU Excellence

In today’s evolving social and political landscape, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) stand at a critical crossroads.

The very institutions that have served as longstanding pillars of excellence, resilience, and advancement, now face mounting challenges that threaten the futures of the very students they exist to empower.

Support HBCU Futures is a national call to action: to invest in, uplift, and safeguard HBCU students and the future of the our global creative workforce.

We are mobilizing industry leaders, institutions, creatives, and changemakers to stand with us in ensuring that HBCU students are not only seen and supported, but equipped with access to thrive in professional careers post-grad where their voices and visions are urgently needed.

Now is the time to protect, prepare, and propel the next generation of HBCU talent. Together, we can ensure that HBCU students are not left behind, but instead, lead forward.

Powered By EICOP

Support HBCU Futures is a national campaign powered by the Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program (EICOP)

EICOP is an educational arts and workforce development non-profit dedicated to preparing and positioning talented students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions for successful careers in the entertainment, media, and arts industries.

We bridge the gap between academic study and real-world application, making it possible for students to succeed in the global creative economy.

Our summer internship program HBCU IN LA® | HBCU IN NY® | HBCU IN ATL® program is designed to create pathways into the entertainment industry by providing students with an immersive 8-10 week paid internship with one of our industry partners in Los Angeles, New York, or Atlanta.

Our mission is to remove barriers to entry and provide professional development and support to both HBCU students and their institutions.

To date, EICOP has a 90% intern-to-hire conversion rate, and has engaged more than 600 students through internships, mentorships, workshops and industry experiences, making a measurable difference in the lives of individual students, and the broader media landscape.
